Boston Ma July 22, 2022,
ZZ Top came to the Leader Bank Pavilion in Boston Last night and brought some Texas heat to an already hot night. They are out touring in support of their latest Album ‘Raw’. ZZ Top are one of the most famous and long-standing rock bands in the world. They formed in 1969 but really emerged on the music scene in the 1970s, and since then, they’ve released dozens of albums that have sold well over 50 million copies worldwide and 50 plus years in and they are still at the top of their game.
The band led by Billy Gibbons on vocals and guitar, Frank Beard on drums and Elwood Francis on bass and vocals who stepped in after longtime bass player Dusty Hill passed away in 2021. They came out with the rockin ‘Got Me Under Pressure’ and proceeded to play a mix of classic songs and new material, and they definitely delivered on all fronts. There was plenty of energy onstage, and the sound was incredible – perfect for a hot summer night. Some other highlights were ‘Gimme All Your Lovin’, ‘Sharp Dressed Man’ and ‘Legs’. ZZ Top seem to have an endless catalogue of hits. They definitely have their own style and sound which was apparent through out the night. The crowd was into it and had a blast. They ended the night with a new song ‘Brown Sugar’ the classic Tube Snake Boogie and my favorite ‘La Grange’. If you’re looking for an unforgettable show whether you are a casual or hardcore fan you won’t be disappointed.
