When Godsmack comes to town you can bet it will be a full house. Especially when it’s close to being a hometown show as they are based out of Boston MA and Mohegan Sun Casino is only about an hour away. They are current out touring to support their latest release When Legends Rise which has three number one rock singles on the Billboard charts including the show opener the title track form the album When Legends Rise.
Seven of the sixteen songs were from the album. They also dove back to their 1998 self tiltled album with crowd favorites Keep Away ,Voodoo and Whatever. The full setlist can be seen here. The band including Singer Sully Erna, bassist Robbie Merrill, guitarist Tony Rombola and drummer Shannon Larkin were on top of their game and showed the crowd why they have been able to sustain their level of success for over 20 years in an industry where that is no small feat.
One of the many highlights of the night was when they played the song Under your Scars dedicated to “anyone that has ever felt alone.” There is also a foundation called The Scars Foundation established by Sully Erna and Godsmack to help raise awareness of the mental health issues that so many are faced with today. This is definitely a show you don’t want to miss!!
